A few on a website i found of aerial pics of the Humber region. It says they were taken in 1996 although they look slightly older than that. tlfe.org.uk/air/kirm03.htmtlfe.org.uk/air/kirm01.htmtlfe.org.uk/air/kirm02.htmIts changed quite considerably over the years, its even before the new restaurant/bar was built before the extension of the check-in hall... I'd put them at 1995 at the latest, the first one looks like a pic from the 80's. Perhaps the SD330/360 was on turnaround on the LHR route. Notice there was no car park down the side of where the helicopter terminal is today. Also of note is the former Air Anglia/ Air Yuk maintainence shed on what is now the extended apron. Im pretty sure that may have been there in 95/96 still. I often forget just how much the place has grown in the last 15 years.

The SD 360 was most probably on the daily Esbjerg service which Air UK had taken many years to build into a profitable route, only for KLM to abandon it for no reason other than it didn't serve AMS.

Going through the old Air UK timetables I have, Shorts SD360's were used to NWI/LHR and on weekday AMS flights for winter 1988/89
By Summer 1993 the only SD 360 flights remaining in the Air UK network were LBA-EDI/BFS
I can just about remember the fire station being were the heli terminal now is - when was it the new heli terminal was built?

Im guessing the new heliterminal was built circa 1996 though could be 95? I remember a lot of work going on at the time, as the restaurant was moved to a purpose built extension and a large departures hall was built shortly after that. I can remember being in the terminal when a monarch 757 was on the ground, when the restaurant was where the information desk is now, and i remember a helicopters pax in their safety gear waiting near the door (opposite the whsmith next to the old check in desks) to board a helicopter.
Times realy have changed, unfortunately it looks like the good luck came early for HUY.
