I assume Monastir is the new route they will be pressing tomorrow. Small but still growth all the same. I hope they can keep them coming. We need the Canaries back now and then see how well BE do this year with a view to more mainland Spannish stuff in 2011.

AH, my T/C brochure is showing Palma back on a Saturday at 13.15. Of the six flights only Dalaman and Monastir start the first week in May, the other four the last week of May.
Of the 16 airports in the TC brochure only Huy and 2 others do not have a full Summer flight to Dalaman, this is a bad show. even DSA has May to Oct with Dalaman and Antalya.

Indeed TC does show Palma on a Saturday. But oddly the Airtours brochure shows Monday. I suspect the TC brochure is right though

Can't say i'm not disappointed with what has been released so far. I suppose slow and steady is better than reductions at least. Surely there is still a market for Tenerife, Corfu and more Turkey at least. Hoping h4u and Goldtrail come up with something.
I would bet money that if BE's AGP is successful, we will see Alicante, and possibly Faro and Palma from them.

Saw this on another site, how reliable are we thinking it is?
"there is already serious talk of Thomas Cook adding some completely new destinations for 2011 (as opposed to NEW destination Tunisia which HUY have actually had before), and also FlyBe!
Keep your lugholes to the ground.......could be big! kin 'ell
Security wont know what's hit them. No more cups of tea every 30 minutes....there are jobs to be done!"

Neither here nor there to be honest, it has likely come straight off here, much like the Jet2 rumour probably did.
If you think about it, i find it highly unlikely that BE would earmark any further expansion for next summer when this summer season hasnt even started yet. They need to gauge how well the AGO does before considering adding extra flights and more destinations.
The thing about TCX makes little sense, where would they fly to that is a completely new destination with the exception of SSH? Weve even had Orlando and Dom Republic in the past, not that they are ever coming back, so it doesnt leave much to add.
I would like to think that the stable year round destinations of Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Alicante and Malaga (year round) would return with perhaps an SSH addition. I do feel though, that DSA has managed to corner that market and it seems that unless another big operator shares the risk then we wont be seeing the likes of them any time soon.

Pug, what about several Greek Islands, North Africa, Croatia, Italy, they are all potential destinations that have not been flown from HUY.
My thinking on the talk on the other site, TC to do the longer flights, Canaries etc. and Flybe to do the bucket and spade flights, 2/3 per week.with TC also taking a seat allocation on each. ;D

Aegean Flights, the h4u flight only brand, have Summer 2011 on sale
Thursday Dalaman remains, starting 19th May finishing 27th October (later than this year I think). There is also a new Friday flight starting 22nd July and ending 29th October. Both the Thursday and Friday flight times, but not flight numbers, are the same, but hopefully this Friday flight is for real and not a mistake
Furthermore there is a new Bodrum service on Wednesdays from 25th May to 5th October
All flights with Onur Air. Should these extra flights happen they would be a big boost, and when added to the new Monastir would be a net gain of up to three flights a week, assuming no further changes and Balkan/Olympic/Goldtrail have the same programmes as this year. Back to the early noughties when this was the sort of growth we had each year!
Unlikely but must be remembered there is a chance these new flights could be shared with Goldtrail and therefore not be new

How many weekly flights would that be for next year then?

6 Airtours/Thomas Cook 3 h4u 2 Olympic (not yet on sale) 2 Goldtrail (not yet on sale) 1 Balkan (not yet on sale) 1 First Choice/Thomson
TOTAL:15 (Not all flights operate all season, and in the case of Balkan/Goldtrail/Olympic assumes same offering as this year)
15 compares to 12 this year, 13 in 2009 and 23 in 2008(that included Jersey, which of course is now scheduled and not included in the figure of 15)

Goldtrail now on sale. Both Bodrum and Dalaman on Tuesdays 5th July-27th September (with last return flights on 4th October). Fort What Its Worth Onur Air are shown as the operating carriers with Bodrum arriving at 8am and Dalaman at 9.15. Both depart an hour later
Shame the flights aren't due to operate in October next year, unlike this year, but Bodrum does start a couple of weeks earlier than this year

Balkan Holidays brochure has Sunday Bourgas flights listed again, with a coach transfer option to Varna. No indication the flight will be combined with LBA (though obviously that could change). Flights operate May 22nd to October 2nd
Though oddly it doesn't yet seem to be for sale

Zine El Abidine Ben Ali International Airport in tunsia with airport code NBE . this is where tcx is flying to from huy, brand new airport due to open next spring
