A post on the Humberside Travel facebook page could suggest that there is more to be on offer next summer. They seem very excited about the release of next years programme. Someone has also asked about a cheap holiday to Tenerife, to which they said that Humberside travel is 'THE PLACE TO VISIT' in caps....
May be reading too much into it however.

Is the airport travel agency excited or the airport excited?
Personally I expect not much overall change. Maybe Thomson will go for good, and maybe something will get added to Turkey, but beyond that I can't see there being many changes.
Unless Jet 2 decide to come, but then again how many times have we had that discussion before?

Its the airport travel who are excited, obviously they do sell holidays from other airports, and they may not know of any further developments at HUY.
Im more concerned at the moment about the number of airlines which are likely to survive this current problem. I suppose it depends on how long it lasts for.

The Summer 2011 program sales launch this thursday. Humberside Airport Travel have created a group on facebook.
On it they say "We want to tell you the secret but our lips must remain sealed!! "
Now i know this could be nothing but it does suggest to me that there are at least some developments continuing from this year. Perhaps we may see the return of the Canaries? Im not so sure BE would have planned so far ahead so cant see it being anything from them. Then again it could be just a way to get more people interested...
Fingers crossed for new routes however.

I spoke to a girl in Humberside Airport Travel at the end of last week. She said she was aware of nothing new for 2011. Was she just trying to avoid me pressing her for info which remains secret until this week?

If that is then the case then im not sure, likely to be a case of reading too much into it. Of course there could be new info for them today or as you say it could have been an attempt at avoiding giving something away. Of course it could just be a marketing poy to get people interested. Who knows, im sure we shall find out thursday. It is probably that i have taken it out of context.
It must be remembered that this is early days too, BE didnt announce their full intentions untill Jan and Feb this year for S10.

Went into Thomson's today and the girl in the shop gave me a Thomson's Summer 2011 brochure.
Thomson will only have 1 route into Humberside next year - Palma on Thursday's. The route will be operated by Air Europa and run between 5th May - 2nd June and 21st July - 29th September.
Arrive Humberside at 14.05 and Depart again at 15.00.
Also inbound via Aberdeen on 28th July.

Such a shame to see the operator which was once the main tour charter provider move out to just one flight per week in favour of DSA. Before DSA had opened it was said that, due to the right balance at HUY, it was the second best selling after INV for TOM.
It would seem for now that TCX are retaining some commitment at HUY, but how long before they move out to DSA also? It would be a shame if HUY had to become dependant on the smaller operators as that could effectively kill off any future charter routes.
Edit: someone has already asked on their facebook page, they said that all will be revealed on thursday with a smiley at the end... Sounds a bit more promising.

Shame its no longer operating the Scottish School Holidays nor in October, but I'm actually surprised it's still operating at all Im not so sure BE would have planned so far ahead so cant see it being anything from them. Totally agree. They need to get winter on sale first Guess we have to wait for Thursday to see what this secret is

It would seem that something new is on the way, but I don't want to get my hopes up! I would hope for a based Thomas Cook a/c or a couple more flights from them, but who knows. Is it too early for Jet2 to announce their summer 2011 plans?
Aside, I would expect that is the BE AGP does well, we will see more from them, possible Alicante or the like.
Regards
Mike

I would say it's at least a couple of months too early for Jet 2. They are usually one of the first scheduled airlines to start releasing. Last year I seem to recall it was around July/August when Jet 2 started to release this summer's programme

Its worth noting that hopefuly the new hotel should be up and running by then, perhaps opening up the possibility for a couple more routes and a part base aircraft from TCX... LPA and TFS is due a return im sure? I would like to think there is an outside chance of Jet2 but i think that, with the BE developments and (hopefuly) more from TCX, this is becoming increasingly unlikely at least for the forseable future.

Some travel agents in Hull City Centre, including Thomas Cook, have posters saying Summer 2011 on sale tomorrow (Wednesday)

Thomas Cook brochure out Monastir is back on Sundays, operated by TCX Antalya, Dalaman and Palma with TCX are however suspended during the Scottish School Holidays. Palma and Antalya are showing for Monday (with the same arrival/departure times oddly) and Dalaman is showing for Tuesday Heraklion and Larnaca as normal with ECA So an overall increase based on the initial brochure
