The UK’s independent specialist aviation regulator and provider of air traffic services to the aviation industry are seeking to recruit PART-TIME Survey Interviewers at Humberside Airport.
The purpose of the Survey Interviewer will be to conduct surveys on travelling air passengers through face-to-face interviews using various research techniques.
The main duties and responsibilities of the Interviewer will be:·
a) To randomly approach travelling passengers in order to obtain accurate information on their journey and their personal details using a pre-set questionnaire and interviewing techniques.
b) Accurately record and interpret information provided by travelling passengers about their journey
c) On a rota basis act as shift team leader, ensuring that the interviewing team are in place on time and carrying our their duties as per the companies standards.
d) To maintain work productivity and dealing with any problems and liase with Head office staff as appropriate.
e) To act as a public face to ensure that conduct and appearance are professional at all times.
The surveys are used extensively to provide input for Government, airlines, airports and consultants into major investment decisions so their accuracy is therefore vital. Qualifications The ideal Interviewer will have the following skills and experience:
a) Confident and persuasive with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
b) Organised with clear and concise handwriting skills.
c) Have an interest in people and their behaviour, with the ability to act tactfully with passengers who may feel themselves to be in a stressful environment.
d) A team player, who is comfortable with leading the team and ensuring that shifts start and end on time and that rest breaks are taken appropriately
Candidates with previous market research interviewing experience either within an airport environment or within the travel industry would be ideal, however any market research experience would be considered to be a distinct advantage.
The Interviewer will be expected to work an average of 20 hours per month.The shifts are between the hours of 0600 - 1330 hrs and 1330 - 2100 hrs, therefore reliable transport is essential.
All shifts are operational between Monday and Sunday.
Applicants must also have a 5-year checkable history, a full UK driving licence or an EU passport in order to apply for a pass to work within controlled zones at the airport.
The position will also be subject to a satisfactory criminal record check.
