A new one for 2011, Omega Holidays are offering a trip to see the Northern Lights on 2nd February 2011 omegadirect.reader.travel/tour.php?d=0&f=HC_AIR&c=9&s=42&t=1271#pagetopHopefully it does well Newmarket have also released their 2011 programme. No sign of Porto but they have added a Sicily departure on 18th June. Furthermore they have 3 departures to Verona planned on 15th May, 26th June and 25th September. Naples will also operate twice, on 11th June and 15th October. Newmarket does tend to alter their programme a bit, but good news all the same. A significant increase there compared to this year Special Departures don't add that many passengers, but if the number can increased it would start to have an impact on passenger numbers, especially in the quieter summer months such as June and October

2 more from Newmarket and another new destination - Dubrovnik. Departures on 6th June and 3rd October
Thats now 8 departures planned by Newmarket next year compared to 4 this year. Hopefully they will all sell well, since that it is a lot of extra capacity for a fairly small market segment

As you may know, Viking has suspended operations, at least temporarily. Newmarket were planning to use them for all their flights next year I think, so will have to see if any changes are made to the programme

Oddly not listed in the Humberside section, but can be found under departure date info for Newmarket's Spanish tours Withdrawn from sale. Newmarket's Seville programme of charters seems to have been replaced by holidays using scheduled flights to Malaga instead

The brochure shows Bergamo as the Italian airport. 1315 from HUY on the 1st, arrive Bergamo 1630. Depart Bergamo 1655 on the 8th, arrive HUY 1810
Positive news though. Naples must be selling well for Omega to add this flight. Now the airport needs to work with Omega (and Newmarket) to promote this flights. 10 special departures this summer now, up from just 4 last year.

As good news as this is, i cant help thinking that this type of charter flight is the future growth of airports like HUY, while other airports mop up the bigger tour operators.

Omega are doing 3 flights to Naples from LBA, so they are using bigger airports also.
