Pug I would just like to point out that what I have heard is that TCX summer 2013 flights will be on sale very shortly and that they might be pulling the based aircraft. But the good news for LBA is that will continue to operate W-Legs into LBA.
This is still not confirmed as yet. So things could change yet.

Posted elsewhere that the remaining DLM flight with Thomas Cook is to be transfered over to DSA next year. So no Thomas Cook and by the looks of it no Olympic Holidays for S13.

I'm still holding out hope. There is still nothing on sale with Thomas Cook from LBA or HUY.
They surely can't be dropping LBA at this point? Maybe they are working out a LBA based MON aircraft to operate W patterns into HUY? It's certainly not too late to announce flights from HUY.
Living in hope!
Kind regards
Mike

Possibly more positive, on the Olympic holidays website, where you search for HUY to DLM it does bring up the 2013 dates in the drop down box from May 2013 to October 2013. Although it brings up no flights available. I am sure it only showed up to end of the 2012 season last week. Still only showing up to end of October on other destinations.

I checked last night and only the 2012 dates were available in the drop down menu so hopefully theres something in the offing.

You are correct Humberside, however I checked after mrmoose posted and he was correct. I guess we will have to wait and see. I understand the Thomas Cook LBA program may rest on securing capacity, HUY could be the same.

Reading way too much into this, but it's interesting to see that the LBA based Thomson holidays aircraft only operates one flight on Mondays and Tuesdays. Would fit into the programme to have a Dalaman W pattern on Mondays and Palma W pattern on Tuesdays. Any chance they could be for HUY?
Kind regards
Mike

I think the aircraft is already scheduled on Tuesdays for a w pattern to MME. I doubt Thomson would want to operate DLM from all three airports in the region, unfortunately.

Ive read elsewhere that there is a rumour of Thomas Cook selling off a number of aircraft to Monarch, and that Monarch will see a significant expansion in fleet numbers. Putting 2+2 together (and probably getting 22), I think Thomas Cook may be looking to outsource its flying program to Monarch. In which case I could see a based Monarch aircraft at LBA operating the Thomas Cook program, alongside the current one planned for the Thomson flights.
I live in hope that such a program would at least allow a w pattern to PMI from HUY.

My 2+2 would say that TCX are downsizing and ZB want to expand their scheduled programme and need aircraft to do that - TCX could be a source. Not to say there couldn't be some Monarch charter flying for Thomas Cook, but the direction of Monarch is very much scheduled service at the moment

Except for Thomson at LBA it seems, though I see where youre coming from. However I cannot see Monarch turning away such business? It would make good sense for both parties.

According to Travel Mole Thomson are moving more capacity into the regional airports. With Monarch doing the same does this mean the consolidation we've seen over the last few years has reached it's end?? If so will HUY benefit??? 2013 looking extremely bleak at this (early) stage.

Highly unlikely that Thomson would return to Humberside for as long as they are based at DSA. I would hope for the chance of a w pattern or two with Monarch from LBA, but that is doubtful.
IMO looking from the outside, to gain sustainable growth and claw back the routes HUY has lost, they need to be attracting a based operator. I find this scenario unlikely and I think leisure routes from HUY are at a dead end now.

Such a shame we lost Thomson. Financially secure and committed to regional airports
