Also removed from drop-down menu.. Looks like bad news.
On a similar subject, a poster on Pprune suggests MoL is visiting PMI tomorrow so looks like there could be a base there for S12.. Supposidly he is visiting ALC first too so hopefully we will get an idea of why it is being pulled (if it is)..

O'Leary in Alicante and Palma tomorrow for press conferences. Maybe his final plans for AlC routes will be announced. Will these confirm the demise of HUY-ALC??
Any chance of getting my Ryanair Gift Voucher money back?? No chance.

The other route not included in the timetables was LGW, it seems the non UK base flights from ALC are being pulled so could perhaps suggest that FR are to reduce their based units there..
Hopefully if PMI is to be a base then HUY might get something yet.. The choice of HUY is still in the timetable just no destination loaded.

It's now been confirmed that ryanair are dropping 18 routes from Alicante base for next summer 2012 season along with reducing capacity on its other services by 50%
Of them 18 routes dropped include routes to Humberside, Doncaster-Sheffield & London Gatwick. I understand ryanair will be announcing a new base at Palma-Majorca very shortly.

Full list of ALC routes dropped..
Bratislava, Brno, Cochstedt, Doncaster, Fez, Gdansk, Humberside, London-Gatwick, Madrid, Marrakech, Palma de Mallorca, Pisa, Poznan, Santander, Sevilla, Treviso, Valladolid and Zaragoza
Once again the airport loses out due to external factors.

Oh jeez this is getting ridiculous!
Humberside must be THE unluckiest UK airport! Routes are tried, they are a success, but something happens with the airline involved, completely unrelated to HUY, and we lose them!
It really is time Jet2 came in. Both ALC and AGP have been tried, both were a success. There is undoubtedly demand for Palma, and to a lesser extent, Faro and Tenerife. Isn't it time we had some stability?
Kind regards
Mike

There is time for FR to announce routes from other airports, afterall wasnt it early feb before ALC was announced? I'm sure the airport will be onto them, owing to the success of ALC the cut back at DSA and the rejouvinated relationship with MAN..
As much as I would like to see them here, I just cant see Jet2 taking a punt anymore. They pretty much have this region sewn up now with East Midlands, Leeds and Manchester all having bases and all inevitably serving passengers from the Humber region. Barring an outbased aircraft operating some limited niche routes with EMA/LBA based crews (which seems unlikely now) I just cannot see it happening. Not to mention the fact that airport management seem reluctant to attract 'large scale growth' through fear of the usual pull-out after one season.
It seems as things stand, stability for S13, as surely there is not much more to chip away at the passenger figures (other than the unthinkable happen), but it looks like any hope of growth next year is gone now unless FR pull anything out of the bag due to spare capacity at existing bases.

Why has Humberside re-appeared on the updated route map. No destination but a throbing yellow dot?? Is this a mistake?

Possibly just a mistake as Humberside is still on the website in the timetable section. I'm sure this has happened before too after DUB got the chop..

On Travelmole today, Mr. O says all ALC flights will be reinstated if they win an appeal, so still hope for the HUY flights. ;D ALC flights on sale at LBA M/W/F/S, leaving T/TH/S for HUY

LBA flights with LBA based, aircraft though arent they?
I think it will be a case of AENA backing down when the givernment realise how much tourism will suffer.. Still no guarantee HUY would return if they do get their way.
One to watch could be Girona, as FR have agreed a quota with the authorities to out 3-4million through the terminal there, and there are not enough flights in the schedule to support this yet.

Any hopes of FR returning in some form this summer look to be quashed now that DSA is getting Gerona back, as that was probably our only hope.
