When EZY did the route previously, they operated June-September 2013, carrying 7,448 pax and May to September 2014 carrying 7,142 pax. It will be interesting to see how the lower capacity but higher frequency STK service will perform against this.

Possibly worth noting that only NQY airport has announced the new route so far - nothing from SEN or Stobart Air.
Only a few days previously the Echo carried a story of the recent route cancellations with a spokesman for Stobart Air saying that discussions were ongoing to bring in a new carrier in the near future, hopefully to take over the suspended routes, but nothing was confirmed yet. The implication was that there was now an opportunity for new routes in the future. (paraphrase because I can't locate the original link)

As there have been no corresponding announcements or comments from either Flybe or SEN/STK I think NQY perhaps made that announcement a little sooner than was expected.

STK/Flybe routes have been released today for ANR,CFR,GRQ,NQY and RNS. Period of validity is to September 8.
RNS - 12 per week in May rising to 14/week by August CFR - 5 per week rising to 6/week by August (+1/+2 on 2018) ANR - 6 per week (+2 on 2018) GRQ - same (up to 18 per week) NQY - 7 per week
That's just from a quick glance at the May and August schedules. I assume these are all entirely ATR operated but have not checked the RNS to see if the E195 features. 49 rotations per week looks like a full programme for two aircraft.
No sign (yet ?) of the E195 routes LYS, CGN, DBV, DUB. Nor ABZ or JER !

There is a report on a f/book group website this morning that Stobart Air are to take delivery of the first of two E190s next week. This would tie in with reports I have received that STK crews would be receiving LCY training, which I had rather dismissed as the E195 is not LCY certificated, and also talk that BA livery would be applied to at least one Stobart aircraft. Both of these things suggest to me that Stobart may have an ACMI deal with BA City Flyer (CFE) to operate from LCY next year. On the face of it Stobart will be needing to find work for the three E195s once they are withdrawn from SEN, the last leaving at the end of March. It seems quite ambitious to obtain a new aircraft type on the strength of one contract, albeit with a major carrier, while at the same time trying to place their existing E195 fleet elsewhere.

BACF announced a few months ago they were to increase their fleet by four E190s which were apparently second hand. Could this bethe aircraft arriving next week ?. All the STK advertising for crews for a DUB base referred to E190s but I assumed E190 and E195 were a common type rating apart from LCY certification. (in fact the formal designation of an E195 is ERJ190-200LR) But STK crews operating a BA-liveried and -owned aircraft out of LCY ? Interesting IR issues I would have thought.
If the LCY rumour is true then coupled with the announcement of the termination of the STK/Flybe E195 operation it could amount to a powerful negative statement by Stobart as to their real confidence in SEN, very much at odds with their statement in the Echo less than two weeks ago.
Unless of course there is something else in the pipeline we don't know about yet, but I wouln't hold my breath for that.
So not only are there the 3 Propius E195s to find work for, but 2 E195s to be returned to Flybe, and two ATR72s coming off the IoM Flybe contract.

If the LCY rumour is true then coupled with the announcement of the termination of the STK/Flybe E195 operation it could amount to a powerful negative statement by Stobart as to their real confidence in SEN, very much at odds with their statement in the Echo less than two weeks ago. I agree with you that Stobart seem to have backtracked from previous indications that they would introduce replacement routes from SEN, in place of those that have transferred to EZY and RYR or that terminate at the end of this month, to destinations not previously served in the expectation that some of these would in due course succeed and again be transferred to other carriers. That would have provided continued work for the E195s as well as generating additional passenger numbers. To have chosen the alternative plan of offering the E195s for ACMI work etc. is rather an indictment of their lack of confidence in finding new SEN routes or else that they feel shareholders will baulk at the continued cost of doing so. Perhaps it's a bit of both.

Does anyone know eher the E190's are coming from? I guess STK will have 5 jet frames then next summer; will use be found for the E-195s yet I wonder?

I see that the first of the two E190s (VH-ZPI from Virgin Australia) is in the USA and was positioned yesterday from Nashville to Chennault (Louisiana) for painting. This from Skyliner.de, which does not specify what livery it will emerge in - BA or all white.
They seem to be keeping EI-GGB in storage at Exeter with EI-GGA supposedly ready very shortly, while continuing to fly EI-GGC and the two leased Flybe aircraft. There must be a reason for this arrangement !

Between April 2018 and October 2018, STK carried over 15000 pax on the Budapest route.
Unless I have missed something, it seems a wasted opportunity that no carrier is to operate this route next summer from SEN.
