its actually 4 departures & 4 arrivals. as the paphos flight is a based aircraft so will return in the evening. still not good to see so few flights but with around half of easys lost capacity already replaced for the summer & supposedly sum new still to come it shouldnt be too bad. ryanair start their tfs flights next month.

Still baffled as to why easyjet havent yet committed to DSA proper. Makes perfect sense from an outsiders perspective, that their nearest base is Manchester, and they dont have anything-LBA to GVA excepted-on the M1/A1 corridor between Luton and Newcastle.
Whilst IMO Jet2, Monarch and Ryanair (base) are unlikely in the medium term due to their operations at EMA and LBA, easyjet could capitalise on DSA's central location and relative lack of competition.
I used to use them alot when they were at EMA, used them once from DSA, but if they were to base at DSA then I would use them for as long as I live in the area. Beats travelling to EMA or MAN!

Easyjet aren't in major growth mode. I'm not quite sure what was agreed with Stelios in the end - no growth or little growth - but either way competition is fierce for Easyjet aircraft anyway, and even fiercer considering Easyjet's growth plans (or lack of them)
Also Easyjet seem to be focusing on larger airports (SEN excepted), and airports that can sustain large bases. DSA isn't a larger airport - though does have an large catchment - but being realistic could it sustain 5, 6 or 7 based aircraft short term? No, it would be a stupid amount of capacity to add so quickly
The future for EZY is Gatwick, Manchester, Edinburgh, Milan etc, not smaller airports like DSA. Look at how little 'love' NCL and LPL get from EZY these days. This isn't DSA's 'fault'. It probably isn't a reflection of it's potential. It's a reflection of Easyjet's strategy

Im not suggesting it has anything to do with DSA's inability to fill the aircraft, as if easyjet centralised operations tgere then I think it may work, much like Wizz.
Its just a shame that their current strategy doesnt allow for it.
