July 2016 CAA stats:
Caen - 1,796, up 15%
Groningen - 1,958, down 6%
Rennes - 4,384, up 27%
While the GRQ figure is rather disappointing, the RNS route doesn't seem to have been much affected by the LCY-RNS route which Flybe were operating 6 x weekly in July this year.

That Rennes figure is impressive. It shows what is possible - let's hope that we see similar impressive stats for the new 18 routes.

Indeed, although with the Vueling Rennes-LGW Airbus service started in November it will harder to hold on to gains like that.

At last we have got our new routes, they have been a long time coming but i have to say im pleasantly surprised with nearly all of them. I can see myself doing several weekend breaks next year, lets hope they will be successful with more to follow in the near future.

FlyBe operating a departure to Exeter this afternoon. Is this an extra flight for Christmas that could not use LCY as shut?

It's the Saturday LCY-EXT scheduled to depart at 1200 but it looks like the inbound AMS-LCY due at 1130 is running late so that will divert into SEN and operate the EXT from there.

Stobart Air are recruiting flight deck crew for E195 aircraft for their SEN and DUB bases. That presumably answers the question as to what aircraft type will operate the 12 new flybe/Stobart Air SEN destinations which start in May. It will be interesting to see from where these aircraft are sourced.

Why is there a Dublin base as well? Aren't they just taking on two for the SEN base only?
