When I try a book a holiday to Antalya (as destination) on 16th August 2009 I get a message that there are no holiday meeting my requirements and are given a list of holidays using the DLM flight instead
Hope its just a mistake on the Thomas Cook website

Majorca S09 now removed from Thomas cook / airtours site. Gran Canaria S09 removed from Thomas cook / airtours site. Gran Canaria bookable S09 with First Choice / Thomson. Seems THOMCOOK/AIRTOURS are seriously reducing at HUY

I picked up the winter holiday booklet at the airport today, showing all destinatons except Larnaca, but no dates of operation, for any flights.
It also shows some desinations for Summer 2009,including Holidays 4U to Dalaman on Wednesday from 6/5/09,was not this to start from July?
Also got talking to a guy who was waiting for his daughter,on the Faro flight, who lives just outside Doncaster,i asked why HUY, answer, good timings and far cheaper!!!

What the hell is going on here. From 2 Thomas Cook Dalaman flights to none. From 2 Tenerife flights to none. From 5 Canaries flights to 1. From 3 Dalaman flights in May/June to none. From 12 Thomas Cook destinations this summer to 3 next summer. From 23 to 13 flights per week in peak summer. Thats less than Summer 1994 (14 flights per week)
Are MAG reducing services in the hope passengers will use EMA and MAN instead? Other regional airports are seeing big cuts but HUY is surely one of the worst affected

AH You have 'hit the nail on the head' re MAG.i today by post, received the booklet i mentioned above.there is a flyer with your name and address on,and on it says 'why not find out about even more destinations from your SISTER AIRPORTS,and then gives the option of requesting, flight and
holiday information from MAN and EMA,these booklets have never given this option before. It seems to me MAN want rid of HUY as quickly as possible.

It certainly is worrying, particularly as it is supposed to be sold as a going concern.
I notice LS have added Dalaman as a new charter route from LBA. Certainly too late for HUY next summer but one i would have hoped will be getting persued at some point down the line.
It is one of HUY's strong points, they days of not wanting to affect the charter routes are gone now... I am fully cinfident it is the right time for LS to come in....#
As regards Johns message, you are right, HUY is in the EMA catchment periphery and MAN as a whole for the north of england. It realy does seem like a bad selling point and an idea to grab these oppertunities to take the pax away while they still can.
Makes you wonder if Peel realy will be able to aquire the site afterall.....
