If successful, more routes will be added for the winter and summer 2013 seasons
Good news.If we could get a Canaries and mainland Spain(for the Newlyweds and Nearlydeads) and maybe a Ski flight, then it would really keep things ticking over.
Still advertising Ryanair to Alicante on Live Flight info on HUY website.Do they not have someone inhouse to keep this up to date.Surprised not to see XL adverts.

Perhaps they are honouring a contract? The flights were scheduled to operate until the decision to pull aircraft from ALC was made last month afterall.
Im sure that some of the luggage trollies still have XL adverts on them??
I'm surprised the Canaries flights haven't been replaced yet. They offer year round demand and had always been popular from HUY. I would guess that if Jetxtra were to expand into that market, they would need to either use a TFS based operator? Or perhaps charter in a UK based operator if they expand?

Jet2 are attempting to stop Jetxtra from launching! Just seen the news on the website, Jet2 are saying Jetxtra are trying to make it look like they are Jet2!! How ridiculous!! Jet2 must be taking this lot seriously to start this, reminds me of Stelios and Go! Bet they are pissed that they may lose passengers from the region who are sick of the hour plus drive to Leeds!

www.jetxtra.com/News3.htmlWhat concerns me is that they are issuing a warning to the main financial backer for the project (CTT Group), and I'm not too sure if they will want to be dragged through legal action, particularly at this early stage. Its strange however that Jet2 are showing signs of concern, afterall they seem to have shunned HUY thus far.

Should certainly generate some publicity, and I suspect it could be some good publicity for jetXtra in terms of awareness

This is ridiculous!!! Someone is willing to give things a go at humberside, Jet2 have given HUY nothing. They could have had HUY completely to themselves, it's their loss! This is laughable!
Kind regards
Mike

As I say though, they have sent the same letter to this operations' main financial backer which is concerning as there could be a risk of them pulling the plug.
Also interesting in the letter is Jet2's concern that the Humberside catchment may 'overlap' with their established bases at LBA, EMA and MAN.
I should point out that I do understand Jet2s concern though as they are probably the best known low-cost airline in this part of the UK. Its just a shame they haven't been able to justify serving Humberside directly so far.

I noticed on HAT facebook today they were pushing the last 3 seats to Turkey on 29th May.. Its good to know that flights will be going out full and hopefully at a profit to the operator..

from jetxtra on facebook
jetXtra.com have been told to temporarily halt sales under the jetXtra.com brand by the CAA, due to the legal threat by Jet2.com. We will appeal this decision as soon as possible, those booked with us need not worry as you're still booked and protected under ATOL.

I think this news says it all, and I doubt this will be going ahead unless something is sorted soon.

Larnaca seems to be axed. Nothing showing on Olympic Holidays or Airport Travel agency websites
It wasn't that long ago we had 2 flights a week in the Summer to LCA ...

That is a massive shame, but hardly surprising if Olympic didnt manage to find the capacity to operate for a full season.. Afterall it wasnt long ago that they were trying to extend the service back to a full summer schedule again.
The biggest shame is that I dont see it ever returning either, unless there is a new charter operator based at LCA replacing Eurocypria, or an airline based at HUY able to offer seats to Olympic.
