Yes it is, particularly after last year's poor load factors. This year the opening flight is direct. Last year the Thursday service also started in late May and the opening flights on both days were shared with MME and DSA. The Sunday flights were more popular last year. The Thursday flights continued to be shared with DSA during June and load factors were particularly poor. It will be interesting to see this year's figures.

Palma now showing sold out for 29th August along with all of September! School holidays are still available but given wider economic pressures and costs for a week in August im not too surprised.

Palma season has 10 weeks to run yet only one date is left bookable. No doubt there will be some availability occur through cancellations but the season has finished as it started with full loads! I've not seen any locally initiated advertising campaigns or discounting. Whatever's holding HUY growth back its not passengers for popular sun routes.

I suppose it’s easier to fill one aircraft per week by support from regional travel trade partners to a destination that lends itself well to W patterns than it is to justify multiple destinations with non based aircraft. However, I’m almost certain that if the airport management had any ambition and suitable backing they would be in a reasonable position to get a based aircraft or two eventually. Still think the uncertainty over DSA is maybe having an effect.
